It all started with grandfather Antonio, a waiter at the fair and restaurant. Manolo and his wife, Mari, Antonio’s daughter, came to Barcelona from Seville to work.
He did everything within the restoration. And he learned.
So the couple opened a food bar in Molins: Manolo was the waiter and Mari, who was the cook and didn’t even know how to fry an egg, ended up being a master of Spanish cuisine. They had two children and different bars and restaurants. When Antonio retired, Jose, Manolo’s son, started working in the hotel business, in a bar they had in La Verneda…
